In less than two weeks I will run my first half-marathon. I totally feel ready. I have been following a training schedule which includes a long run every weekend and my last run was my first 10 miler.
I have totally shocked myself by ever getting this far with my running. I never thought I was capable. Actually I never even wanted to.. but here I am. But I've been training mainly my endurance and have not spent much time on increasing my speed. I am S..L..O..W but that is ok. I just need to finish in the limited time of 3 hours. Some people tell me this is EASY... Some have told me that it was impossible based on my condition at that time... Isn't that so contradictory? I can't listen to others. I have to listen to myself. I say... I CAN DO THIS!!!!! And if I don't? What did I lose... at least I tried.
